 Announcements
New NCTTRAC Chair

According to our Bylaws, Dr. Rajesh R. Gandhi, MD, PhD, FACS, FCCM, FCCP, Trauma Medical Director at John Peter Smith Hospital assumed the position of NCTTRAC Chair effective January 1, 2012. His personal message to the General Membership is provided below.

Due to the recent retirement of Jimmy Dunn, we have had succession of our leadership as prescribed by our Bylaws, and I am proud to be your NCTTRAC Chair. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Jimmy Dunn for his many years of service to the RAC and this region. Jimmy has spent countless hours on the infrastructure of the RAC as well as the inner workings through the years. His retirement is a huge loss to us all. However, he will be on the Board as Immediate Past Chair and we will still have his years of experience to counsel us through the upcoming years! These next few years will be challenging in terms of economics and politics but I feel sure that the region will band together to face the difficulties. I would like to ask everyone to think about communication as one tool to use in these times. I will be communicating with prehospital and hospital personnel alike about agenda items and other issues that we face. I will be asking for advice, honest feedback and help solving the problems that will be before us. I want to thank everyone in advance for all your assistance in the future. I will be calling on you for many things in the upcoming years.

Thank you all.

Raj
