Freeway Incident Management: First Responders/Managers Courses

FREE for many NCTTRAC counties for Freeway Incident Management (FIM) for FROs and Incident Managers. It is also good for 15 hours of fire commission and TCLEOSE credit, which also means it is applicable to DSHS CE requirements as well. FIM training helps responders understand the priorities of each other and the motoring public. The course covers information, best practices, “how-to” on each stage of an incident, & demonstrates how responders can improve personnel safety and highway system safety. FREE for Police, Fire, TXDOT, EMS, Media, Towing and CDA Agencies located in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Wise, and Tarrant Counties. For all agencies outside the counties listed above, there is a $225.00 tuition fee.

Pediatric Care After Resuscitation (PCAR) course

Cook Children's Medical Center is hosting the 2-day trauma fundamentals Pediatric Care After Resuscitation (PCAR) course this fall. Offered on September 12-13, 2013, at Cook, the course is designed to give pediatric nurses in acute care, critical care, and perioperative areas evidenced-based information to take care of a wide range of hospitalized, injured children.
