Eight regional zones have been developed to assist in bringing the RAC activities back to the providers to enhance the regional development and enhance the "inclusive" system. These zones allow for greater input and participation by members into activities of the NCTTRAC. Zone liaisons serve as communicator and facilitator between the Board of Directors and the zone members. The Board of Directors in collaboration with the Zone’s recommendations appoints them. Expectations are:
1. Attend all RAC executive meetings.
2. Coordinate one zone meeting per quarter consisting of an update on current NCTTRAC activities and a period to get feedback to return to the Board of Directors.
3. Contact each provider, both hospital and pre-hospital, at a minimum of every six months, to determine needs and provide a channel of communication.
4. Possess communication capabilities such as email, fax, and/or beeper.
